The
Bermuda triangle has been accused of suspiciously taking down many
ships in its time. When you first set foot on the exotic pink shores
of the gorgeous island of Bermuda, you might start to wonder if
these people may have got lost on purpose.
When you watch the sun set over the incredible aqua sea, walk along
the moonlit beaches or experience the delights of Caribbean culture,
you'll probably find yourself seriously contemplating your own
defection to this paradise. All of the beaches give off a fantastic
pink effect, which is created by the reflection of the coral and
shell particles within the sand. Packed with small coves and secret
bays, this island is the perfect place to find your own little patch
of beach to escape to every day. You can also stroll through the
quaint little shops in the city of Hamilton, go island hopping by
boat and trek the incredible nature trails to explore the old,
untouched parts of the island.
Want a hidden corner of the Caribbean
within sight of South America? Aruba is just north of Venezuela and
basks in continual sun - making it a true paradise island of which
25 percent is nature reserve.
Most inhabitants speak both Spanish and English, but in the capital
city Oranjestad the historic Dutch influence is dazzling in the
picturesque wharves and old town. Visit San Nicholas, host to the
area's third largest carnival behind those of Brazil and Trinidad
before journeying inland to the Arikok National Park. The ancient
Indian drawings and natural wonders would satisfy most visitors, but
explore a bit more and you'll find deserted gold mines and even a
ruined pirate castle!
